Children In Need

As I’m sure you’re aware, on Friday, 14th November, the BBC is holding its annual Children in Need fundraising event. Children in schools across the country will be having non-school uniform days and dressing up. This year we have decided that the children could dress up as something that begins with the letter of their first name or their surname. For example, if your child is called Luke Smith they could dress up as a lion or Superman.

We would, therefore, invite all the children, who would like to be part of this special fundraising day, to dress up on Friday, 14th November in return for a donation of £1 (or more if people wish) to Children in Need. The children would need to hand their money in to their teacher on the morning of Friday, 14th November.

As the days are now getting noticeably colder, it is important that all of the children wear enough layers to keep them warm. Therefore, it might be a good idea for your son/daughter to wear a vest, skin or t-shirt under their outfit.

The money raised will make a difference to the lives of children across the United Kingdom. Grants are provided to projects run by both small and large organisations that focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged.

Many thanks for your support for this extremely worthwhile cause.

Yours sincerely,

Abigail Walters and Lucy Burrows (PGCE Students)
