Pyjama Day

This year Miss Irvine is taking part in the Race For Life to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

To help raise money for this event our school is having a pyjama day on Thursday 9^th June.

Our youngsters are the generation that could see ground-breaking treatments and cures for cancer in their lifetime. They’re the young warriors who could be the researchers and lifesavers of tomorrow. By taking part, wearing their pyjamas and uniting together against cancer, they’ll be doing something really special. Cancer Research UK receives no government funding for their research, so the more of us who join the fight against cancer, the more money we can raise to beat cancer sooner.

As this is a fundraising event it would be great that if your child did wear pyjamas that they could bring into school a donation that will go to Cancer Research UK. Alternatively, if you would like to make a donation online Miss Irvine has a Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/emilieirvine .

In the fight against cancer every second counts. £8 buys a lab timer to keep our scientists on track as they go about their work, finding out what makes a cancer cell tick.
