We are excited to announce that we are now a recycling hub for Brixham. The Eco-Committee with Mrs Bowles have been working towards our school becoming an Eco-School and plastic free. As part of this journey we can now recycle the following items:
– crisp packets (any brand of crisp packets but NOT popcorn bags, pretzel bags, crisp tubes, meat snack packets)
– bread bags (any bread packaging made of LDPE plastic)
– pens/felt tips/highlighters/dry white board markers (any brand)
– baby food pouches and their lids
– biscuit, cracker and cake wrappers (any brand of non-savoury biscuit, cracker and cake wrappers)
– toothbrushes and their outer packaging (any brand NOT battery toothbrushes)
This facility is not just for our school families, it is open to the whole community, as we hopefully lead the way to the whole of Brixham and beyond being able to recycle more. For all the items we recycle we earn points, which can then be turned into money – the children have decided that we should give this to charity and they have chosen the Children’s Hospice South West to receive any money that we make through our recycling efforts.
We are open for you to drop off your collections anytime between 8am and 5pm, during term time.
Please ensure only the accepted items are delivered; click on the links below to see the accepted waste posters for more information.
